MOUNTAIN RETREAT

Rudy W. has been a builder for over 10-years. One of his recent sales was an Oxford, which was built as a mountain retreat. Here is his story:
"Their product [Castle Gate] is in constant improvement from the feedback of the (builders) in the field, particularly when I build the shell myself. The support of the Plant and Drafting Department is superlative. Considering the whole superstructure is built in sections and not in place, there have been overall very few problems.”
“The most recent home I built was this modified Oxford . The house was expanded to 26-feet wide by 40-feet long with the two decks of 6-feet each. The total square footage on each floor is 1,040. Including the basement the owners have over 3,000 sq. ft. of space. The house to build turnkey (ready to move in) was $106,500.00, plus the septic/well, which came to about $7,000. The basement has Radiant heat, the other floors have hot water baseboard. The main floor is totally load-bearing-wall free due to the uniqueness of the floor truss system. The living room is an impressive 26-feet by 20-feet with no walls. The erection of the shell was straightforward and fairly effortless to accomplish. The total cost came to about $56.00 per sq. ft. NOT including the “extra” room in the basement, which would not take much to finish since the heat is already installed. The estimated resale of this house is approximately $150,000. It is located right next to a Ski Resort in PA and the average square foot price is over $75.00.”
“I am presently working with two homebuyers that are working with the “Builder Assisted” Program and they are thrilled about how much money they are saving for upgrades or to have more equity in the home when they are finished. People are not educated enough about this great program and there are lending institutions that are accepting this type of financing much more readily than before.
