Castle Gate Homes

Castle Gate combines the old with the new. It constructs to old-fashioned standards, not minimum code standards typical of most builders today. Our panelized homes and commercial buildings will withstand the test of time.

Unlike most builders today we do NOT use flakeboard (OSB) or particleboard in any of our house packages, or custom orders.

All panels are constructed with plywood. And we ONLY use four (4) ply plywood, not the industry standard three ply.

We use 19/32" (.59") four ply plywood for wall sheathing, 5/8" (.62") four ply plywood for the roof sheathing, and 3/4" T&G (tongue and groove) for the sub-floor. We build with #1 grade kiln dried SPF lumber for all vertical studs and we use a MINIMUM double 2"x10" (NOT the 2"x6" industry standard) Southern Yellow Pine or LVL beam for all window and door headers for added structural integrity. This level of quality is our STANDARD.

NO one builds with better quality or better structural integrity.

You can't build a wood structured home with better materials. We only use the best currently available.

The unique pedestal construction of the round Castle Gate house eliminates the need for lead bearing walls, so your interior design is open and spacious - around you and above you. The upper level is cantilevered above the lower level, and beyond that is the airiness of a cathedral ceiling. The round Castle Gate house allows for freedom of movement, freedom of design and freedom to live unencumbered in typical "box like" rooms. Summertime or wintertime...the living is easy! The majority of our other contemporary and traditional homes have NO LOAD bearing walls, allowing for an infinite combination of interior design.

ENERGY EFFICIENT:
At a time when utility rates are soaring, every Castle Gate Home will be a virtual energy miser with the STANDARD R-Max thermal board insulation added to your on-site supplied insulation, factory installed thermo pane windows and fully insulated exterior doors.

Custom built on your lot, it can be completely finished inside and out, or if you prefer, the opportunity to design and complete your own interior.
